Clerical (Temp to Perm) Opportunities

The commonwealth’s Temporary Clerical Pool (TCP) provides temporary staffing services to state agencies located in the Harrisburg area. TCP employees enjoy full time work through a series of temporary assignments, usually with little or no down time between assignments. Employees also enjoy competitive wages with regularly scheduled pay raises. The hourly rate for a Limited Term Clerk Typist is $8.95 and for Limited Term Clerk is $8.47.
Applicants should possess excellent typing, data entry and customer service skills.

How to apply
Walk-in testing for Typist candidates is conducted at the Civil Service Commission on the first Thursday of every month. Clerk testing is scheduled as needed. The next test for CLERKS AND TYPISTS is on April 5, 2012 in Harrisburg. You must complete a Civil Service application and pass a test. Typists must pass a typing test with a minimum speed of 40 words per minute with deductions for errors. Following the test, applicants will be asked to complete pre-employment paperwork that will take approximately 45 – 60 minutes. Please be prepared to provide the following:
- The name, address and approximate date of employment for your last three employers
- A current, valid photo ID with signature
- A Social Security card, birth certificate, passport or green card
