Directions

From north

Travel Interstate 81 South to Exit 191B and take the North Scranton Expressway about two miles to the second traffic light. Turn right onto Franklin Avenue and go through two traffic lights and the CareerLink is the first building on the right.

From south

Travel Interstate 81 North to Exit 185 Central Scranton Expressway left exit from Interstate 81. Follow signs for Spruce Street and continue on Spruce Street to the sixth and last traffic light. Make a left turn onto Franklin Avenue and the CareerLink is the first building on the right.

From west

Travel Interstate 80 East to Interstate 81 North. Take Exit 185 Central Scranton Expressway left exit from Interstate 81. Follow signs for Spruce Street and continue on Spruce Street to the sixth and last traffic light. Make a left turn onto Franklin Avenue and the CareerLink is the first building on the right.

From east

Travel Interstate 80 West to Interstate 380 West to Interstate 81 South. Take Exit 185 Central Scranton Expressway. Follow signs for Spruce Street and continue on Spruce Street to the sixth and last traffic light. Make a left turn onto Franklin Avenue and the CareerLink is the first building on the right.

Parking

Metered parking is available at various locations around and near the CareerLink Building. All local meters in the vicinity are 2-hour non-reusable commerce meters.  After 4:30 PM weekdays and all day Saturday, candidates may park in the CareerLink parking lot located behind the building. The lot may be accessed from Mifflin Avenue or Franklin Avenue.

Office Hours

Testing is approximately 10 days each month - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, with some Wednesday evenings, and Saturdays. Specific hours of operation vary by center.

Office Closings

  • Testing scheduled weekdays prior to 4:30 p.m.:  Call the Lackawanna County Pennsylvania CareerLink at 570-963-4671. If the Lackawanna County CareerLink is closed, testing is cancelled for that day.

  • Testing scheduled weekdays after 4:30 p.m. or on Saturdays:   A message will be displayed on the home page of the Office of Administration website if testing is cancelled.  

If testing is cancelled, or if you decide that your local road conditions make it unsafe to travel, you can reschedule your test date in the Exam Scheduling System.‚Äč
